Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 20261. About us
EasyPlanning is a drafting service based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, UK. We produce floor plans, elevations, site plans and as-built drawings for planning applications and building records. Our email address is info@easyplanning.uk.
By commissioning work from EasyPlanning, you agree to these terms in full. Please read them before placing an order.
2. Our services
EasyPlanning produces the following drawing types:
- Floor plans (existing and proposed)
- Elevations (existing and proposed)
- Site plans and block plans
- As-built drawings
All drawings are produced for planning application and record purposes only. We do not provide architectural design advice, structural engineering, building regulations drawings, or any calculations of a structural or engineering nature.
3. What you must provide
To produce accurate drawings, you must supply us with one of the following:
- A hand-drawn sketch of each floor with all room dimensions clearly written on, including wall thicknesses where possible, and door and window positions marked
- Annotated photographs of each room with measurements clearly visible
Measurements are essential. We cannot produce accurate drawings without them. If insufficient information is provided, we will contact you before proceeding. We reserve the right to decline a project if the information provided is not sufficient to produce accurate drawings.
You are responsible for the accuracy of all measurements and information you provide. EasyPlanning accepts no liability for errors in drawings that result from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the client.
4. Quotes and pricing
All quotes are fixed-price and provided in writing by email within 24 hours of receiving your brief. The quoted price covers the agreed scope of work only. Any additional drawings or significant changes to the brief after a quote has been accepted may be subject to an additional charge, which will be agreed with you in advance.
Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue.
5. Payment
Payment terms will be confirmed with your quote. For most projects, full payment or a deposit is required before work begins. Final drawings will not be released until payment has been received in full.
We accept payment by bank transfer. Payment details will be provided on your invoice.
If payment is not received within 14 days of the invoice date, we reserve the right to suspend or cancel the project.
6. Revisions
Every project includes up to three rounds of revisions at no extra charge. A revision is defined as a reasonable amendment to the drawings based on the original agreed brief — for example, adjusting a room dimension, repositioning a door, or amending a label.
A revision does not include a change of scope — for example, adding an entirely new floor, changing the project type, or making significant alterations to the agreed brief. Changes of scope will be quoted separately.
Revision requests must be submitted by email with clear, specific instructions. We aim to turn around revisions within 2 working days.
7. Turnaround times
We aim to deliver first draft drawings within 2–3 working days of receiving all required information and confirmed payment. This timeline is a guide and not a guarantee. Turnaround times may be longer for complex or large projects, and we will confirm a specific timeline with your quote.
EasyPlanning accepts no liability for delays caused by incomplete information, late payment, or circumstances outside our control.
8. Intellectual property
Upon receipt of full payment, you are granted a non-exclusive licence to use the drawings for the purpose for which they were commissioned — for example, submission to a local planning authority, use by a builder, or for your own records.
EasyPlanning retains the copyright in all drawings produced. You may not resell, sublicence, or distribute the drawings to third parties for commercial purposes without our written consent.
We reserve the right to use anonymised or edited versions of drawings in our portfolio and marketing materials unless you notify us otherwise in writing at the time of commissioning.
9. Planning permission
EasyPlanning produces drawings to UK planning standards. However, we make no guarantee that any planning application will be approved by a local planning authority. Planning decisions are made by the relevant council and are subject to local policy, neighbour objections, and other factors outside our control.
We are not planning consultants and do not provide planning advice. If you require planning advice, you should consult a qualified planning consultant or your local planning authority.
10. Limitation of liability
EasyPlanning's total liability to you in connection with any project shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for that project.
We accept no liability for:
- Errors resulting from inaccurate measurements or information provided by the client
- Refusal of planning permission by any local planning authority
- Any structural failure, building defect, or personal injury arising from work carried out in reliance on our drawings
- Any indirect or consequential loss
11. Cancellations
If you wish to cancel a project after work has begun, you must notify us by email. Any work completed up to the point of cancellation will be charged at a pro-rata rate based on the agreed project fee. Any deposit paid is non-refundable once work has commenced.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at www.easyplanning.uk/terms.html. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
14. Contact
